Easy Street Step 5

Bonnie went easy on us this week. I had Step 5 done quickly. Now I'm working on baby quilts for my Etsy store.

My newest finish-the Seville pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew with Pineapple a La Carte FQ's. I will be using this pattern again. I love the movement it creates!

This is the current quilt pattern I'm working on but I'm using green instead of red.

This is the Rectangle Squared pattern with Lake Summersault fabric. I think it looks so fresh and crisp with the blue and the white.

Woo Hoo! I just preordered Bonnie Hunter's new book! I just love all of the quilts in it. I also love that she used a lot of strings because I sure have tons of them!

Barbie's Tuna Salad

"This is a really great tuna salad recipe I got from a friend who used it in her catering service business many years ago. The secret ingredients are the curry and Parmesan cheese! Odd combinations but this makes a terrific tuna sandwich! She used it for an appetizer with gourmet crackers and people always wanted her recipe. I have never tasted another tuna salad quite like this one, and it has been my favorite recipe for tuna salad for many, many years."

Ingredients

• 1 (7 ounce) can white tuna, drained and flaked
• 6 tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing
• 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
• 3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
• 1/8 teaspoon dried minced onion flakes
• 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
• 1 tablespoon dried parsley
• 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
• 1 pinch garlic powder

Directions

1. In a medium bowl, stir together the tuna, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, and onion flakes. Season with curry powder, parsley, dill and garlic powder. Mix well and serve with crackers or on a sandwich.

Roll, Roll Cotton Boil

This is one of my versions of Bonnie Hunter's RRCB. Instead of making all of the tiny red and white half squared triangles I used a fabric instead.

This is the second version. I used pinks and greens, solids instead of the string squares and used a bright Christmas border.

Older Quilt

This was a kit from a quilt store that has since closed. This was made in 1998. I think it still looks very modern.

Easter Quilt

This is an Easter quilt. It wasn't planned that way but the colors evoke Easter to me.

This quilt top was made with a QAL group hosted by I am a Ginger Monkey.  Of course I had to include a photo of one of my quilt inspectors, Pickles. I think he approves.

this is the pattern I'm working on now. My fabrics are pink florals with white and gray. It is looking very girly :)
